Book Feature: Dying to be me by Anita Moorjani

Have you read this book?

If you haven't, then I highly suggest that you do. It will allow you to see life from a different perspective. I have been trying to make this paradigm shift just a few weeks ago and I can feel the difference immediately.

The book reminds us to take care of our well-being. To learn to appreciate life and being able to truly live. Every day, I try to teach myself to slow down and take time to appreciate my surroundings. Listening to the birds singing or stopping to smell the flowers may sound cliche but if you do, then you realize that you can actually find happiness there.

It is about time that we stop being slaves of the material world. We are here to enjoy life itself. If you want to eat chocolate, go ahead. If you would like to sing, then do it. It is about we start to TRULY LIVE A

Just like Audrey Hepburn said, The most important thing is to enjoy your life - to be happy - it's all that matters.

P.S. The book will make you understand the REAL REASON why people get sick.

More about the book

In this truly inspirational memoir, Anita Moorjani relates how, after fighting cancer for almost four years, her body began shutting down—overwhelmed by the malignant cells spreading throughout her system. As her organs failed, she entered into an extraordinary near-death experience where she realized her inherent worth . . . and the actual cause of her disease. Upon regaining consciousness, Anita found that her condition had improved so rapidly that she was released from the hospital within weeks—without a trace of cancer in her body!

Within these pages, Anita recounts stories of her childhood in Hong Kong, her challenge to establish her career and find true love, as well as how she eventually ended up in that hospital bed where she defied all medical knowledge. As part of a traditional Hindu family residing in largely Chinese and British society, Anita had been pushed and pulled by cultural and religious customs since she was a little girl.

After years of struggling to forge her own path while trying to meet everyone else’s expectations, she had the realization, as a result of her epiphany on the other side, that she had the power to heal herself . . . and that there are miracles in the Universe that she’d never even imagined. In Dying to Be Me, Anita freely shares all she has learned about illness, healing, fear, "being love," and the true magnificence of each and every human being! This is a book that definitely makes the case that we are spiritual beings having a human experience . . . and that we are all One!

10 Things We Know About the Bacolod Contract Tracing (BaCTrac)

You might be seeing a lot of posts online about the newly implemented Contract Tracing Program of Bacolod City. Unfortunately, some netizens have shared some confusion and difficulty in registering and getting their BaCTrac card.

So, we would like to shed some light on this by sharing with you 10 Things We Know (so far) about the BaCTrac app:

1. The app is developed by the Provincial Government of South Cotabato and we are grateful that they allowed us to use their system. Unfortunately, they won't be able to change some details thus, you will see "South Cotabato" in the website when signing up. Don't worry! That's okay and you can still continue with the registration.

2. There are a lot of citizens trying to sign-up at the same time so you might encounter problems accessing the LGU website. Instead, you can try accessing it through these links:

3. You can register as a family. No need to sign-up individually. All you need to do is indicate the head of the family then add your other family members.

4. They will only ask you information such as when registering:
  • Full Name
  • Home Address
  • Email Address
  • Contact Number

5. You have to choose BACOLOD instead of Negros Occidental under the province field in order to proceed.

6. After submission, it will automatically generate a printable ID with your, name, address, and QR code that you need to scan when visiting business establishments and government offices.

7. Once you have your ID, it is important to attach a photo. This will help the authorities make sure that the one using the card is the owner. Those who are caught using another person's card will be fined.

8. Everyone is encouraged to register. Registration is open until October 11, 2020. If you did not register or do not have the card, you will instead be asked to manually write/ use the physical logbook.

9. Business and government establishments are required to download the mobile app’s “CCTS Logger” on Google Store to be able to scan BaCTrac cards. The cards are used to sign in to a digital logbook, through scanning the QR code, upon entry into government premises or private establishments for the purpose of recording the date and time of visit.

10. Failure to register within the prescribed period will be penalized. Under the ordinance, penalties ranging from P1,000, P2,500, and P5,000 and/or imprisonment for not more than six months for the first, second, and third and succeeding offenses, respectively, await private establishments and government offices that fail to comply.
