This 7/11 store in Bacolod has delivery service

More and more households have been turning to food and grocery delivery service these past few weeks due to the enhanced community quarantine. Unfortunately, due to the increased demand, it may be a challenge to get a delivery schedule.

Thus, we just prefer to buy from a convenience store since there are usually no lines and it's less crowded. However, this 7/11 store has raised the bar in providing excellent customer service as they now offer DELIVERY anywhere in Bacolod City.

So far, this 7/11 store near L Fisher Hotel is the only branch (that we know) who offers delivery. We had a wonderful experience when we ordered from them a couple of days ago.

We were able to order bread, drinks and snack items easily. They are really helpful and they assisted me like I have a "PERSONAL SHOPPER" They won't simply list down your orders. Instead, they will immediately go around the store to check and inform you if it's available or not. They will immediately give you options regarding the available sizes or alternative brands so that you can complete your purchase faster.

Here are some items that you can consider ordering from 7/11:

1. Bread

2. Ready to eat food like siopao, mister donut, hotdog sandwich

3. Cold drinks - they have a wide array of juice, water, milk available.

4. Popcorn - it's our favorite and it's made from Chef Tony's
5. Canned Goods
6. Rice Meals and Pasta

7. Toiletries such as shampoo, soap and hygiene essentials
8. Microwavable food such as rice meals and sandwiches
9. Cigarette
10. Ice Cream

So, whatever your needs are, you might consider having it delivered instead of going out. Delivery charge starts at Php 30 only.

You may text or call them 0945-4134821. If you don't have load, they can call you instead if you have a Globe number.

Mayor Isko Goes Green + Giveaway

Mayor ISKO MORENO threaded an impoverished area in Manila while growing up.  As the elected City Mayor of Manila, more popularly known to Filipinos as Yorme, he never wavered amidst adversities hurled at him for taking several steps in making a better version of the city he fondly calls his home and crowning glory.  Bold and fearless, Yorme puts his heart and mind in anything he does - “Believe in yourself! You’ve got nothing to lose.”

Yorme recently signed Ordinance 8607 declaring the permanence of Arroceros Forest Park dubbed as the “Last lung of the City”, home to 61 tree varieties and 8,000 ornamental plants. The new ordinance forbids the cutting of trees and dumping of waste within the park. Part of his plan is to allocate P1 million solely for its preservation and maintenance away from urbanization and all these efforts stem from his greater plan to make Manila a Green City”.

Yorme firmly believes in the power of nature. It’s no secret that he advocates using natural products. No wonder, early this year Yorme became the newest brand ambassador of NOVUHAIR, Nature’s Answer to Hair Loss. Watch the full video at

How to Prevent Heatstroke in Dogs?

The summer heat is definitely here. Everybody is just posting and shouting out in their social media accounts how hot it is nowadays.

According to PAGASA, the heat index registered at 39 degrees last March 8 and 9. In this case, we are advised to be careful as extreme heat can affect not just us but our dogs and other pets as well.

Based on studies, more than 100 deaths of dogs is reported every year due to heatstroke. This condition happens when our dogs are unable to regulate their body temperature. Early signs include inability or unwillingness to move around. Other signs of heatstroke in dogs include drooling, reddened gums, vomiting, diarrhea, mental dullness or loss of consciousness, uncoordinated movement, and collapse.

We may not be able to control the temperature however, we can still do something to prevent heatstroke from happening to us and our dogs. Here are reminders to all pet owners:

1. Always make sure your pets have available clean drinking water to avoid dehydration.

2. Make sure they are not directly under the sun.

3. If you leave them inside the room alone with no cooling device (e.g. fan, aircon) make sure that you leave a wet towel where they can lie down on. You can also leave the windows open if that's possible.

4. Give more frequent baths.

5. Keep in mind our pets are highly prone to heatstroke.

We must all remember that if we find it hot, so do our pets. Let us all be responsible pet owners, share the word and let's go for zero casualty due to heatstroke this summer.

4 Ways to Fill the Void from Crash Landing On You

We're not really Kdrama fans but after watching Crash Landing On You, we can definitely say that we have crossed the other side.

If you're not sure what we're talking about, Crash Landing on You is a South Korean television series directed by Lee Jeong-hyo and featuring Hyun Bin, Son Ye-jin, Kim Jung-hyun, and Seo Ji-hye. It is about a South Korean woman who accidentally crash-lands in North Korea. It aired on tvN in South Korea and on Netflix.

Anyway, it has been days since we finished watching the final episode but we still can't get over thinking about Captain Ri.

So, if you are feeling a bit empty and you are missing Team #Riri, here are 4 ways that can help you "move on."

1. Listen to Ri Jeong Hyeok's song for his brother. You can play this while working or before sleeping and you can dream about Captain Ri. It's a one-hour continuous loop so you don't need to worry about hitting the playback button again.

2. Check out these GIFs that you can send to your family and friends. There are a lot of GIFs available online and here are some of our favorites:

3. Get a glimpse of the Behind the Scenes of Crash Landing on You. You'd be able to appreciate the show more after watching these exclusive behind the scenes. Let us share with you some that you shouldn't miss.

4. Don't miss Hyun Bin's other TV series on Netflix and here's what you can add to your watchlist:
  • Memories of the Alhambra - While searching for the cryptic creator of an innovative augmented reality game, Yoo Jin Woo an investment firm executive played by Hyun bin meets a woman who runs a hostel in Spain.
  • Hyde, Jekyll, Me - This is about chaebol executive with a split personality spars with a circus leader determined to save her troupe, which he's trying to eject from his theme park.

  • Secret Garden - A wealthy man and a poor stunt girl fall in love. But things get complicated when their souls become inexplicably swapped and dark secrets surface. This is where Hyun Bin won the Top Excellence Award, Actor in a Drama Special and the Netizen Popularity Award at the SBS Drama Awards in 2010.

Anyway, do you have any other ideas or suggestions on how we can move on? Or better yet can we not move on and just watch the series again?

Share your thoughts and feel free to comment below. :)

Globe users can now access to DOH, PHIVOLCS, NDRRMC websites for FREE

To provide its customers with reliable updates on COVID-19 and Taal volcano status, Globe Telecom is offering free data access to websites of the Department of Health (DOH), Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

At present, there are numerous conflicting reports about the origin, effects, and reach of COVID-19 ranging from the absurd to the plausible.  Likewise, there are varying information on the status of Taal volcano and the affected cities and barangays.  The situation often leaves people confused and sometimes, in panic.

This prompted Globe to act by making data access to the websites of DOH, PHIVOLCS and NDRRMC available for free to its mobile and prepaid home WiFi customers.

“As a public service, we want to direct our customers to the proper sources of information about COVID-19 and Taal volcano status so that they won’t be misled by fake news which may only cause unwarranted fear. Hopefully, this will encourage them to visit the right websites and not rely on data that may not have been validated or recognized as true,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe SVP for Corporate Communications.

Globe Prepaid/TM customers may access the three websites even if they have no load.  The websites, however,  will load faster if there is an existing data plan or promo but this will not incur any deduction in mobile data allowance.  Globe customers only need to turn on their smartphone’s mobile data and ensure that they are connected to a Globe 4G or LTE network. The same applies to Globe’s Home Prepaid WiFi.

To access the sites for free, customers may type the following on any internet browser: PHIVOLCS - https://www.phivolcs.dost.gov.ph/
