Bacolod Blog Series: 21 Restaurant

Whenever you pass by Lacson Street here in Bacolod, one restaurant will definitely catch your attention because of the beautiful interior design visible from the windows. 21 Restaurant, whose name speaks for its location is near the 21st Street.

It provides a fusion of Filipino delicacies combined with Italian and American favorites. It is a place ideal for cozy meetings while enjoying good food or even with just coffee and pastries.

We came a round 12:30 pm and most of the lunch crowd had ordered their meals. Just a heads up, you might want to come in a little bit early since the food preparation may take some time.

The food was good but nothing really fancy. We ordered Chicharon Bulaklak as starters.

Chicharon Bulaklak - Php 150
I enjoyed their Gambas eventhough it was a bit spicy for me.
Gambas - Php 255
Val liked the Kinilaw -- the mixture was just perfect.
Tangigue Kinilaw - Php 210
It was my first time to try their Crispy Kare-Kare. The sauce and bagoong was really good.

Crispy Kare-Kare - Php 235

The Baby Back Ribs was quite sweet for me though it was really soft and tender.

Baby Back Ribs - Php 290
Our experience was okay but was not also remarkable. We just liked the ambiance and location of this restaurant. They also have free WIFI. Recommended budget: Php 500/ person

  1. I LOVE Filipino Food. It's one of the things that truly make me proud to be from the Philippines. Since moving out of the country, eating our native dishes is a rare commodity for me. However, I still enjoy them from time to time and love seeing food blogs on them. The crispy kare-kare is something I will have to try in this list. Kare-Kare is already my favorite but to have it crispy?? WIN!
