More Than Songs: Conversations on Faith and Everyday Life

In a time when many people are carrying quiet battles, uncertainty about the future, pressure to keep up, burnout, and the constant expectation to have everything figured out, conversations about faith can offer something many are looking for today: space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.

Responding to this need for more honest and meaningful conversations, Reverb Worship, the music arm of CBN Asia, officially launched Reverb Worship: The Podcast, a new faith-based conversational podcast that premiered on June 5, 2026 on Spotify and YouTube.

More than a music platform, the podcast opens conversations around faith, identity, calling, personal growth, and the real-life moments that shape people’s journeys. Through stories shared by worship leaders, creatives, and believers, the show explores how worship becomes more than a Sunday experience. It becomes a response to God’s faithfulness through every season of life.

Hosted by Joselle Feliciano and Icko Gonzalez for the pilot episode, the podcast creates a space that feels authentic, hopeful, and relatable for listeners navigating their own questions, challenges, and faith journeys. From Episode 2 onwards, Joselle is joined by fellow Reverb Worship artist Neo Rivera as co-host.

“For me, the podcast feels like a natural extension of Reverb Worship,” shares producer, host, and Reverb Worship artist Joselle Feliciano. “The music we create has always come from real stories, real questions, and real seasons with God, and this format gives us the chance to go deeper into the heart and journey behind those songs.”

John Valdes Tan, CBN Asia’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer adds, “The Reverb Worship podcast was created to show that there’s more to worship than music; it is a lifestyle. By featuring Christian artists, we learn how to face life with joy and hope amid its challenges. We believe these conversations will inspire viewers to live victorious lives that worship God.”

The pilot episode features Andrea Badinas and centers on the theme “Loved Anyway,” inspired by her song “Ako’y Sa ’Yo.” In a culture that often celebrates perfection, performance, and having all the answers, the episode reflects on a different kind of message: encountering God’s love even in moments of weakness, imperfection, and uncertainty.

Through Andrea’s personal story, the conversation explores grace, belonging, and the reassurance that love does not withdraw when people are messy or unsure, but instead moves toward them with patience and kindness.

New episodes of Reverb Worship: The Podcast are released every other week. Listeners can now stream the pilot episode and catch upcoming conversations on Spotify and YouTube via @ReverbWorshipPH.

LUMOS EVOKE Digital Camera Review: Pocket-Sized 4K Camera Reminds Us Why We Started Taking Photos

In a world where smartphone photos are becoming increasingly polished, filtered, and AI-enhanced, there’s something refreshing about a camera that embraces spontaneity, warmth, and nostalgia.

That’s exactly what the LUMOS EVOKE Digital Camera aims to do.

Instead of chasing hyper-realistic, overprocessed images, the EVOKE focuses on something many modern devices have quietly lost: personality. It’s compact, beginner-friendly, and designed for people who want their photos to feel more authentic, cinematic, and emotional without spending a fortune on professional gear.

After unboxing and testing the camera, here’s our full review of the LUMOS EVOKE and why it might just convince you to put your phone down for a while.

E — Extraordinary Detail

What makes the EVOKE interesting isn’t just its specifications, but the overall feeling it gives your photos. While most smartphones today aim for ultra-sharp, AI-enhanced perfection, the EVOKE takes a different direction by embracing warmth, softness, and character. The result is a nostalgic aesthetic that makes everyday moments feel more personal and genuine.

Despite that vintage-inspired look, the camera still delivers impressively modern performance. It captures 64MP photos and records 4K video at 30FPS, giving users crisp detail while still maintaining a softer, timeless atmosphere through its built-in filters and image processing.

The EVOKE also offers several recording modes that make it surprisingly versatile for content creators. Beyond standard 4K recording, it supports 2K video, 1080p at 60FPS, slow motion, loop recording, and time-lapse features. Whether you’re filming travel clips, café visits, casual memories, or social media content, the camera gives you plenty of creative flexibility without making the experience overly complicated.

Photography features such as continuous shooting, auto shutter, and countdown timer also help make capturing moments feel quick and effortless. Instead of constantly tweaking settings, the EVOKE encourages users to simply enjoy the process of taking photos.

V — Vlogging-Friendly Design

The EVOKE is clearly designed with creators in mind.

One of its standout features is the flip IPS display, which makes framing selfies, vlogs, tutorials, and casual content much easier. Whether you’re filming indoors or outdoors, the screen stays bright and visible from multiple angles.

What’s even more surprising is its versatility beyond photography.

The EVOKE can also function as:
  • A webcam
  • A livestreaming camera
  • A content creation tool compatible with platforms like OBS
For students, remote workers, streamers, or aspiring creators, that’s a practical bonus rarely seen at this price point.

O — On-the-Go Portability

Portability is easily one of the EVOKE’s strongest features. Because it’s so lightweight and compact, carrying it around never feels inconvenient. It slips easily into small bags and feels natural to bring along to cafés, vacations, school trips, concerts, road trips, or even casual hangouts with friends.

That portability changes the entire experience of photography. Larger cameras can sometimes make shooting feel like a production, but the EVOKE keeps things simple and approachable. It feels less intimidating and more spontaneous, encouraging users to capture moments as they happen instead of overthinking every shot.

In many ways, that ease of use is part of what makes the camera enjoyable.

K — Kaleidoscope of Creativity

This is where the EVOKE truly stands out from smartphones. Instead of spending hours editing photos to achieve a nostalgic aesthetic, the camera delivers that mood instantly through its 16 built-in filters.

From Retro and Nostalgic tones to Japanese Style, Dopamine, Cream, Gothic, and Black & White filters, each option gives photos a distinct personality straight out of the camera. It transforms ordinary scenes into images that feel cinematic and memorable without requiring complicated editing apps or presets.

The EVOKE also includes a 16X digital zoom and a built-in flashlight, giving users extra flexibility when shooting in different environments or lighting conditions. These features may seem simple, but together they contribute to a shooting experience that feels creative, relaxed, and enjoyable.

E — Effortless Connectivity

The EVOKE keeps connectivity refreshingly straightforward. It uses a universal USB Type-C connection for charging and supports up to 256GB of storage. File transfers through the included card reader feel quick and beginner-friendly, making it easy to move photos and videos between devices.

Battery performance is also reliable enough for all-day casual shooting, which makes the camera practical for travel and everyday use. Since it charges via Type-C, recharging is convenient whether you’re using a power bank, laptop, wall charger, or even your car charger while on the road.

It’s these small conveniences that make the EVOKE feel easy to integrate into everyday life.

Final Thoughts: A Camera With Personality

The LUMOS EVOKE isn’t trying to replace your smartphone, nor is it trying to compete directly with professional cameras. What it offers instead is a completely different vibe, one that feels softer, more nostalgic, and more intentional.

In an era where photos are often overly polished and algorithmically enhanced, the EVOKE brings back a sense of authenticity. It reminds users that photography doesn’t always have to be technically perfect to feel meaningful.

Sometimes, the best memories are the ones filled with warmth, imperfections, atmosphere, and emotion.

That’s what the EVOKE captures so well.

Price and Availability

The LUMOS EVOKE is available in two variants: the 32GB version priced at ₱4,999 and the 128GB version priced at ₱5,999. Both versions come with a one-year local warranty and dedicated customer support.

You can order it directly through their website -> https://www.lumosprojector.ph/evoke

Since launching in the Philippines, LUMOS has also built a strong following and earned thousands of positive reviews from customers over the past few years. The EVOKE is currently available directly through the official LUMOS website.

Is the LUMOS EVOKE Worth It?

For casual photographers, students, travelers, and aspiring creators, the LUMOS EVOKE offers a surprisingly enjoyable experience at an accessible price point. It’s compact, stylish, beginner-friendly, and most importantly, genuinely fun to use.

More than anything, it reminds us that photography is not always about capturing the most perfect image. Sometimes, it’s simply about preserving moments in a way that feels real.

Philippine Book Festival 2026 Strengthens its Commitment to the Growth of Local Publishing

The National Book Development Board (NBDB) is all set for the 4th Philippine Book Festival (PBF), the country’s only marketplace dedicated exclusively to all-Filipino books and published works, and a shared third place for publishers, writers, illustrators, readers, educators, and industry stakeholders. The festival runs from March 12 to 15, 2026 at the Megatrade Hall, 5th Floor, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

“With the continued interest we saw in the last few years, we are encouraged by the growing appreciation for Filipino stories and content,” said NBDB Executive Director Charisse Aquino-Tugade. “The strong public response affirms that there is a meaningful demand for books that reflect our own culture, languages, and lived experiences.”

Building on that momentum, the NBDB sees PBF 2026 as an opportunity not only to expand visitor turnout and exhibitor participation but also to strengthen access to locally produced books and learning materials. In a milestone for the festival, Day 1 (March 12) will be open to the general public for the first time, welcoming all readers alongside the Department of Education (DepEd) and its book evaluators from across the country.

Four Realms, One Rainforest

PBF 2026 reimagines its four signature realms within a rainforest-inspired setting. Aral Aklat highlights books as tools for learning and discovery, featuring textbooks and teaching guides. Booktopia invites visitors to explore the breadth of Filipino fiction and nonfiction. Kid Lit nurtures early readers through interactive, child-friendly experiences. Komiks celebrates the visual richness of Filipino comics and graphic storytelling.

This year’s lineup brings together the full spectrum of Philippine literary life. National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee, National Artist for Literature Virgilio Almario, and prominent historian Ambeth Ocampo will be on hand for book signings alongside trade-book superstars Jonaxx and Ron Canimo, kidlit masters Eugene Evasco and Luis Gatmaitan, and komiks legends Manix Abrera and Pol Medina. GMA Network, together with PaperKat Books, will also launch “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre” at PBF 2026.

Beyond the realms, the festival offers a range of spaces for connection: Lugar Lagdaan for book signings and reader-author meetups; Bahay Ilustrador for a look into the world of visual storytellers; Gubat ng Karunungan for workshops, talks, and masterclasses; the Fiesta Stage for major programming and performances; and Umpukan for informal community conversations.

The NBDB, in cooperation with the National Library of the Philippines, will also feature facsimiles of Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere, Doctrina Christiana, and Fr. Manuel Blanco’s Flora de Filipinas—rare works that anchor the festival in the Philippines’ deep literary heritage.

A highlight of the four-day run is the 43rd National Book Awards (NBA), to be held on March 14 at the Fiesta Stage. The NBA acknowledges the works of authors, illustrators, editors, translators, and publishers whose books have helped shape the country’s literary landscape.

Into the Gubat ng Karunungan

This year’s festival takes its theme from the richness underfoot and overhead: Gubat ng Karunungan, or Rainforest of Knowledge. The key visual, crafted by returning artist and designer Joffrey “Pepot” Atienza, follows two characters, Yaz and Ye-ey, as they journey through a teeming rainforest, taking in its flora, fauna, and falls.

Drawing on his daily life at the foot of Mount Banahaw in Lucban, Quezon, Atienza wove recycled paper into the artwork as a deliberate gesture: the same trees that give us paper carry the stories we tell. “Our stories, our books, and our karunungan all start here—in the biodiversity we need to protect,” he said.

A Festival Dedicated to Philippine Literature

“The Philippine Book Festival is positioned not only as a literary event but also as a third place that connects key players in the publishing and education sectors,” Aquino-Tugade said. “By convening publishers, institutional buyers, educators, and readers in a single venue, the festival supports broader efforts to improve access to quality Philippine books and sustain the local publishing industry.”

“Let’s make the Philippines not just a nation of readers, but a global powerhouse of authors and creators,” Aquino-Tugade concluded.

About the National Book Development Board

The National Book Development Board (NBDB) is the Philippines’ book authority mandated to develop and strengthen the local book publishing industry. It works to expand access to quality Philippine books, promote a culture of reading, and support the growth of local publishing, while ensuring that Filipino authorship and literary production remain visible, competitive, and sustainable in both national and international contexts.

Top 10 Lifestyle Upgrades to Kickstart Your New Year

The New Year always feels like a reset, inspiring many of us to upgrade our lifestyle or improve our homes. According to Yernar Ashimov, head of POS Key Accounts of Skyro, a reliable SEC-registered lending app in the country, “Filipinos often adopt a fresh mindset, seeing it as an ideal moment to improve lifestyles, upgrade homes, and invest in personal growth.”

If you’re looking for a little inspiration as you step into the year, here are 10 trending items worth considering as you welcome the year ahead:

1. Home Appliances

The New Year is the perfect time to upgrade your home appliances. Choosing energy-efficient models can help lower electricity and maintenance costs while making daily chores more convenient and efficient. Smart and modern appliances can also improve comfort and overall quality of life at home.

For gamers and entertainment lovers, investing in a television with a high refresh rate and excellent picture quality can greatly enhance viewing and gaming experiences. We recently got a TCL C755 QD-Mini LED 4K TV and we're very happy with it.

2. Home Cooling

Start the year with cool comfort by investing in a modern air conditioning system. Today’s units not only cool the air but also help improve indoor air quality through advanced filtration, removing dust, allergens, and even bacteria for a healthier living environment.

3. Smartphones

Filipinos are willing to spend more on smartphones because they represent connection, practicality, and identity. These devices are essential tools for communication, education, work, and social interaction, making them an important part of everyday life.

Though we are deeply immersed in the Apple ecosystem and would recommend their products, we still suggest exploring other brands and phone models that may be better suited to your specific needs and lifestyle. Choosing a gadget doesn’t have to be about following trends or owning the latest release; what matters most is finding a device whose features, performance, and price align with how you actually use it. By focusing on functionality and long-term value rather than hype, you can make a smarter and more practical choice.

4. Laptops and Tablets

Aside from smartphones, laptops and tablets can strongly support your New Year goals and resolutions. They help boost productivity and personal or career growth, whether through online learning, digital wellness apps, or creative work.

5. Fitness Equipment

Many people set health- and fitness-related goals at the start of the year. Investing in basic fitness equipment makes exercise more accessible, consistent, and convenient, helping individuals stay committed to an active lifestyle.

6. Home Office Essentials

As hybrid work continues, more Filipinos are upgrading their home offices and study spaces to prioritize comfort and productivity. Ergonomic furniture, proper lighting, and functional accessories can greatly improve focus and work efficiency.

7. Self-care Products

With the hustle and bustle of daily life, it’s important to take time to reset and decompress. Creating a small self-care space at home with relaxation and wellness items can help reduce stress and promote better mental health.

8. Wellness Products

Welcome the year with better health and a positive mindset. Home health devices, air purifiers, and healthier food choices can support overall well-being and help families stay prepared and proactive about their health.

9. Furniture for Home Improvement

If you are planning to refresh your living space, consider multifunctional furniture and better storage solutions. Minimalist designs and practical layouts can help create a more open, organized, and clutter-free home.

10. Hobbies and Personal Growth Items

Beyond material upgrades, the New Year also encourages Filipinos to invest in personal development. This may include exploring new hobbies, enrolling in online courses, using fitness trackers, or engaging in activities that promote creativity and learning. Entertainment systems and gaming consoles can also support mental well-being by reducing stress, boosting mood, and keeping the mind active and socially connected so  you might want to consider getting a PS5. They may even help support memory and cognitive skills, which can contribute to long-term brain health.

Make upgrading easy

This New Year, Skyro remains committed to provide hope, happiness and financial support to Filipinos, helping them upgrade their lifestyles with flexible installment payment options.

Yernar stresses that customers can enjoy 0% interest via the Skyro Zero Plan and other installment terms with low or even zero down payments. Skyro also offers the SkyroCredit, a revolving credit line that customers can use, repay, and use again in 675,000 merchants nationwide with QR Ph.

“Exclusive merchant deals on gadgets, appliances, and home essentials make upgrades even more rewarding. These promotions allow Filipinos to start the year with smarter spending, meaningful lifestyle improvements, and memorable experiences, without straining their budgets. With Skyro, upgrading for the New Year is accessible, convenient, and budget-friendly,” he concluded.

Launched in August 2022, Skyro has quickly earned recognition for its innovative digital financial services. It is now present in over 6,000 partner merchant stores nationwide with more than 1,000,000 loan customers.

LUMOS DAYSTAR Projector Review: A Projector That Performs Brilliantly even with the Lights On (Sample Video and Audio Included)

If you’ve ever tried giving a presentation in a bright room or attempted a movie night without turning your whole place into a cave, trust me - I get you. We’ve had the same struggles.

That’s why we were really curious when we heard about the LUMOS DAYSTAR, a projector that claims to work beautifully even with the lights on. We wanted to see if it could actually handle real-life, everyday brightness.

If you're new to the brand, LUMOS is a Singaporean company known for making high-quality projectors that don’t break the bank. And honestly, the LUMOS DAYSTAR feels like their best one so far. It’s their most complete model. It is bright enough for daylight, great for entertainment, and surprisingly useful for work, too.

After using it for a while, we can say it really does live up to its name. Here’s how the LUMOS DAYSTAR performed in our space and why it impressed us.

Watch this video for our detailed review of the LUMOS DAYSTAR.

D — Daylight-Ready Display

The name DAYSTAR isn’t just catchy. It’s literal.

This projector is purpose-built for daytime use. Dark curtains? Not required. Whether you’re binge-watching, presenting in a well-lit office, or projecting outdoors under the afternoon sun, the display remains clear and vibrant.

Key Display Features:

  • Native 1080p resolution (with 4K support)

  • 5000:1 contrast ratio

  • Bright LED light source

  • Crisp text + bold colors even with ambient light

From Netflix marathons to no-nonsense presentations, the LUMOS DAYSTAR absolutely beams.

A — Auto Keystone + Auto Focus

Manual adjustments? Nope. DAYSTAR is here to make life easier.

Thanks to its built-in camera system, the projector automatically fixes your screen shape and focus even if placed at an angle or moved slightly. Great for non-techy users and setups that aren’t perfectly centered.

You can even project behind a glass window or through your window screen (yes, really!) and it still delivers an impressive display.

Y — Your Personal Hub for Entertainment & Productivity

This isn’t just a projector. It works similar to a smart TV and mini computer in one. Powered by Android 9.0, you get built-in streaming apps like:

  • Netflix

  • YouTube

  • Disney+

  • Amazon Prime

  • And access to even more apps via Google Play Store so, the possibilities are endless.

You can also mirror your phone for gaming, connect your PS5, cast your laptop for meetings, or run presentations straight from the projector.

And here’s something that we really love..

The LUMOS DAYSTAR supports Microsoft Office files natively, such as PPT, Excel, Word, PDF. You can even connect a keyboard and mouse for quick edits.

Plus, retro gamers? Yup. There’s something for you too.

With 16GB storage + 1GB RAM, you get enough space for essential apps and light productivity.

S — Screen Size Flexibility

Tiny room or wide space? The LUMOS DAYSTAR adapts.

  • Projects from 45 inches up to 200 inches, all with just a minimum 2-meter throw distance.

  • 4K supported display

  • Works in bedrooms, living rooms, small condo spaces, offices, or outdoor setups

  • Short throw ratio of 1.56:1 for bigger screens, even in tight areas

Whether you're watching a movie or presenting to a team, this projector knows how to go big.

T — Tough Build & Long Lamp Life

Despite weighing only 2.5 kg, the DAYSTAR is surprisingly sturdy.

But its real strength is the lamp - 30,000 to 50,000 hours of LED lamp life. That's 3x longer than other standard lamp projectors. Now,  you don't need to worry about constant bulb replacement.

That’s years of use—no more stressing about expensive bulb replacements. Place it on a stand, mount it on a wall, or suspend it from the ceiling—it’s ready for the long run.

A — All-in Connectivity

You want options? LUMOS DAYSTAR gives you options.

It comes with:

  • HDMI

  • USB

  • 3.5mm audio jack

  • RJ45 LAN port (for faster wired internet!)

  • Bluetooth for audio enhancements

  • Wireless screen mirroring for iOS and Android

So whether you're gaming, streaming, presenting, or photo-casting, this projector plays well with others.

R — Rich Audio With Dual Speakers

Unlike projectors that sound like tiny tin cans, the LUMOS DAYSTAR brings oomph. Its dual 4Ω 3W speakers deliver clear, surprisingly full audio, which is great for casual movie nights without external speakers.

------------------------

The LUMOS D.A.Y.S.T.A.R. Smart Projector delivers exactly what the acronym promises:

  • Daylight-Ready Display

  • Auto Keystone + Auto Focus

  • Your Personal Entertainment & Productivity Hub

  • Screen Size Flexibility

  • Tough Build + Long Lamp Life

  • All-in Connectivity

  • Rich Audio

And the best part? It starts at only ₱15,999 with a 1-year local warranty.

You can order it directly from the LUMOS website here:

With over 2,000 5-star reviews from Filipino users over the past 3 years, it’s clear the LUMOS DAYSTAR isn’t just bright. It’s brilliant.

If you’ve been wanting a projector that works anytime: morning, afternoon, or night, then the LUMOS DAYSTAR is a solid pick.

Century Tuna’s “Saving Our Seas” unites over 8,000 volunteers across the Philippines for cleaner seas

Century Tuna is bringing back its award-winning “Saving Our Seas” campaign for the 3rd year and it’s bigger than ever. As the Philippines’ No. 1 tuna brand, Century Tuna continues its mission to protect our oceans, expand marine conservation, and promote a plastic circular economy across the country.

This 2025, the movement is making its biggest wave yet by growing from 1 site to 6 cleanup locations nationwide: Manila, Batangas, Subic, Davao, Zamboanga, and General Santos City.
A Movement Powered by Communities

The Saving Our Seas campaign gained new momentum this year during the fan meet of brand ambassador Park Seo Joon, where fans from across the Philippines took part by donating plastic bottles to support the campaign. This inspiring support pushed Century Tuna to expand its cleanup efforts and involve more communities, organizations, and volunteers.

What started as a single coastal cleanup in Batangas in 2023 has now grown into a nationwide force. This year’s International Coastal Cleanup Day saw over 8,200 volunteers come together up from just 205 last year. Volunteers came from partner organizations such as local government units, diving groups, the Philippine Marine Corps, Century Tuna Superbods, CPFI employees, and many more passionate supporters.

Turning Plastic into Purpose

“We rely on the sea. Without healthy oceans, we have nothing,” said Carlo Endaya, Vice President and General Manager for the Branded Tuna Division of Century Pacific Food Inc. He emphasized that Saving Our Seas is not just about one-day cleanups, but about creating long-term solutions through the Aling Tindera program and the plastic circular economy, where collected plastic can be exchanged for income and livelihood opportunities.

This year, the campaign aims to increase its plastic collection by 33%, supported by new and stronger partnerships with groups like Friends of HOPE, LGUs, DENR, SBMA, and brand collaborators such as Shakey’s, Vita Coco, Beach Hut, and Peri-Peri.

Through these united efforts, 1,386 kilograms of plastic waste were collected this year, significantly more than the 357 kilograms collected last year.

More Than a Cleanup. It’s a Movement

In just three years, the Saving Our Seas campaign has:
✅ Collected over 100 metric tons of waste
✅ Expanded from 1 to 6 sites nationwide
✅ Inspired and mobilized thousands of volunteers

“This movement is about community, livelihood, and working together for a cleaner and brighter future,” said Ray Guinoo, Assistant Vice President and Marketing Director for Local Tuna Operations.

Launched in 2023, the Saving Our Seas campaign continues to highlight the urgent issue of plastic pollution through coastal and reef cleanups and environmental education in school, encouraging more Filipinos to protect marine life and take part in preserving our oceans.
