Gadget Review: Logitech C922 Pro HD Webcam

As a virtual assistant, online meetings and webinars is part of my daily grind. It is hard to communicate if my video is faded or pixilated thus, it very important to have a reliable HD webcam.

But what makes it different from the older Logitech C920 model? 

Just to give you a background, The Logitech C922 is the improved version of the Logitech C920. All features between these two webcams are the same except that the C922 Pro has a faster frame rate which supports 60 FPS at 720p and a background removal tool.

What are the features of this webcam? 

• The cam has built-in microphones on both ends.
• It has 6 feet or 1.8 meters long cable with a male USB connector.
• The webcam itself is plug-and-play. You do not need to install a driver to make it work.
• To maximize the full potential of this webcam, it comes with a free application called Logitech Capture. 

The C922 Pro HD webcam also comes with a 5-inch-long tripod that can extend up to 8 inches as well as a complimentary XSplit license for 3 months. 

Should I buy the Logitech C922?

Well, it depends on your budget. It is not really cheap as it retails around Php 5,500 ($120) here in the Philippines. However, we think it is worth the investment especially if you are using this professionally. 

To sum it up, here are 5 things that we liked about this webcam:

• The image and video quality of this equipment is terrific.
• The backlight return is very good and can be maximized depending on the lighting.
• The Logitech Capture allows the user to have Full HD on a 24, 25, or 30 frames per second for a better video quality. 
• If you are on the go and no time to put on your makeup, just set your C922 Pro to 720p on 60 FPS, and you will look flawless on screen.
• Lastly, the autofocus works perfectly and keeps your video clear even if you move closer or far from the camera.

1. They carry hard-to-find products. All Day Supermarket sells imported goods such as ice cream, snacks, nuts (Wonderful Pistachios), drinks (Dr. Pepper, A&W Rootbeer), and many more. Since we don't have Landers and SnR in Bacolod then this is a good option.

If you have been following me, you'll know that I have been looking for Century Tuna Bangus Belly here in Bacolod for quite some time and finally I was able to find it here. Delimondo Corned Beef Caldereta is also another one.

If you are not a fan of dried fish that are exposed/ sold in the public market, they also have prepacked dried fish which is really meaty and delicious. 

If you are planning to have a Korean BBQ night, this is the best place to get what you need as they have quality meats, soju, kimchi, etc.

They also have a wine section that offers many choices. Yay!

2. The fresh/ meat section is great. The meat section has a wide selection of fresh meat. Quite pricey but prime and good cuts are available. They also carry zucchini, celery, different herbs that are not so easy to find. One concern that I have when online shopping is that I don't get to pick the vegetables myself but with All Day Supermarket, we are happy with the quality.

3. They offer same-day delivery.  They deliver the same day even if you order late. I think the cutoff is 6pm. Based on our experience, we ordered around 4pm and we got our groceries around 7pm. 

4. Different payment options. You can pay via Credit/ Debit Card, GCASH, and Bank Transfers or you can opt for Cash on Delivery. If you are paying via GCASH, all you need to do is ask for a QR code. 

5. Personalized Service. Even if I order directly from the website, I love that I still get to talk to a live person regarding my order. You can contact them via Viber. Their staff is really friendly and helpful. (Special shoutout to Joanne who had been assisting me ever since!)

Movie Review: Disney's Cruella (2021) (Warning: some spoilers ahead)

After months of waiting, finally, we got the chance to watch Disney's latest live-action feature film. If you have been following me, you'd know how excited I was about Cruella. Seeing the trailer actually made me order a Disney Funko Pop Rides - Cruella.  (LOL)

Anyway, if you are not familiar with the movie, it is all about Estella, a young and genius girl aspiring to be a fashion designer. However, due to the ill-fated situation, she was forced into the streets where she soon meets a pair of young thieves who later on becomes her family. However, when Estella meets the fashion legend Baroness von Hellman and a series of revelations, she embraces her wicked side to become the mad, fashionable, and revenge-seeking Cruella. 

Here are the 5 things we loved about the movie:

1. The movie never had a dull moment. There was no room for guessing what's going to happen next. Instead, it was like they are dropping one bomb after the other. You don't need to worry about falling asleep. 

2.  The movie soundtrack was awesome. it featured songs from Queen, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Elton John, and a lot more. Here's one from Florence + the Machine. 

3. It celebrates loyalty and friendship. Family isn't about blood. 

4. Cruella had a major plot twist. We did not see that coming. Thus, you have to watch this! 

5. The brilliant character + perfect casting. Cruella was smart, talented, and strong. She is not your typical girl. She has a kind heart but she did not allow others to bully her. Emma Stone played the part really well. Can't help but be reminded of Joker and Harley Quinn.

Now, I know there is one thing that stops you from loving this character. Did Cruella kill the dogs? Did Cruella turn the dog's fur into a coat? Well, let me get it straight. No, Cruella did not kill the dogs. In fact, she adopted them. And that is a reason why this movie is a 10/10 for me.

Just a heads up -- even if this made by Disney, we don't really recommend it for younger kids. There are quite a number of self-dialogues that kids might not appreciate. For those who are young-at-heart, go and watch it. My husband is not a Disney fan but he definitely enjoyed this one. We can't wait for a sequel and see more exciting things from this Disney Villain.

Just like Cruella said, "I am just getting started, darling."
